Are you wasting your time?

Are you missing the forest for the trees? Are you penny wise and pound foolish?

Often the biggest time wasters are those of us who are efficient with our time.

Ask yourself, “Am I savoring this moment? Can I celebrate this minute? Am I present to the privilege and glory of being present to this hour?”

If we cannot honestly say to ourselves, “This minute is its own reward,” then we are wasting this minute.

Planning the game of efficiency can add to enjoying the process, but if not...

Often when we focus on the efficient use of our time, we are not present to each minute as its own reward.
Our life is running us such that the justification of the minute lies not in itself, but in some future result that we hope/intend/expect it to provide to us.

Ninety-nine percent of the reason for pursuing a goal or a destination is not the goal or destination itself,
but the value that it adds to the process itself. If you’re not enjoying and savoring the process, what’s it all for, anyway?

Just allowing the reward

Are you present to this moment such that it is its own reward? If not, experiment with shifting your experience of this moment so it is rewarding now.
