Luck of Courage

They say I'm lucky, blessed by fate,

A life so full, a path so great.

But luck alone does not explain

The choices made, the joys obtained.

It wasn’t luck that paved my way,
But courage strong, come what may.
Not fortune’s hand, nor random chance,
But daring steps, a bold advance.

A college left, against the grain,
A city moved with naught but name.
A job secure, yet I let go,
To chase a dream, to learn, to grow.

I faced the fear, the judging eyes,
Embarrassed steps, yet still I tried.
A dance, a call, a workshop deep,
Where truths uncomfortable did creep.

A love pursued, a love set free,
The hardest choice—to just be me.
From place to place, from land to land,
Not luck but will, my own command.

It wasn’t luck that paved my way,
But courage strong, come what may.
Not fortune’s hand, nor random chance,
But daring steps, a bold advance.

Each choice I made when fear was near,
Each time I chose, embraced the fear.
The world rewards the brave, the true,
And so, my friend, it calls for you.

Do not wait for fate’s embrace,
For luck is found in steps you trace.
The power’s yours, the choice is now,
Stand up, step forth, and take your bow.

It wasn’t luck that paved my way,
But courage strong, come what may.
Not fortune’s hand, nor random chance,
But daring steps, a bold advance.
