Power and Peril of Principles

Principles guide, they light the way,
But blind devotion leads astray.
Hold them close, but not too tight,
For truth depends on time and sight.

A life well-built on solid ground,
With rules and wisdom all around.
They shape our path, they make us strong,
They steer us right, won’t steer us wrong.

Yet dangers lurk in rigid minds,
Where faith in rules can make us blind.
"Never give up," we say with pride,
But sometimes it’s best to step aside.

Principles guide, they light the way,
But blind devotion leads astray.
Hold them close, but not too tight,
For truth depends on time and sight.

To tell the truth is good and pure,
But harsh words harm, of that be sure.
To never cheat may seem so wise,
Yet life's more gray than rules advise.

Context shapes the rule we make,
We can ignore what is at stake.
"Always keep your word," we claim,
But life’s no simple, rigid game.

Principles guide, they light the way,
But blind devotion leads astray.
Hold them close, but not too tight,
For truth depends on time and sight.

Risk and cost, we must assess,
No rule alone ensures success.
"Just go for it," seems bold and right,
Yet risk may lurk beyond our sight.

Cheaper buys don’t always win,
Hidden costs may creep within.
And we must feel some joy today,
Or rules will crumble, fade away.

Execution matters most,
A careless rule may breed a ghost.
To listen well means more than sound,
Our hearts must meet where truths are found.

Principles guide, they light the way,
But blind devotion leads astray.
Hold them close, but not too tight,
For truth depends on time and sight.

So think them through, revise, refine,
Let wisdom shape the rules that bind.
For principles, both great and grand,
Should serve us well, not just command.
